Journey Through The Years: Tiger

Building on with another week of these interpretations. I bring to you….. the tiger.

Very little has yet to happen without a touch of encouragement on my part. Allow me to show you how. We have laughed together for too long, you  may have forgotten the gold in these stripes.

In spite of these walls we are likely to obtain heaven. I have heaped my paws with treasure, I can assure you that no measure of salt can dull the taste of victory. Fortune favours me, might and speed are but seeds to what my frame can make true, I can promise a piece of my luck if you are willing to take my side on this hunt. Follow my lead and lean your flanks into this venture.

I have seen enough of the bitter otherness that betrays so many in the heat of war. I believe an understanding has made itself known to me, by name and now by taste. I let no morsel of a moment avoid my tongue, what the hunt provides I shall always relish. The hunt was everything we needed it to be, it sharpened the fire that flickers in our coats to consume defeat. It offered a serving of fear so that we can steer clear of its effects. Locked in a race against tomorrow, how could a shy claw possibly pierce that curtain that dances between mediocrity and greatness. With too many names for the varying shades of cowardice, I pray by my yellow Lilly that they may never stain this hide of mine.

Poems for Planets: Saturn

YL6M50q

Welcome fellow bloggers, readers and nomadites. This journey into the deep black vastness of our solar system lands us on a Titan. Our previous subject Jupiter is followed by Saturn. When we can separate Saturn from the other nine planets by its great rings. It has over 30 rings and 62 monds. This planet has been known to man for a long ol time. It iz visible in the sky with the naked eye.

Obviously we had to touch on some mythology to add depth to this mighty planet. This planet opens the door to some interesting family affairs. The planet Saturn is linked to Chronos, who was … dum dum dum, a Titan King. Chronos or Saturn was the God of Time.

Now this Titan is tied up in all manners of madness. He had castrated in father (Uranus) and was cautious about his children doing wrong by him, so he swallowed a bunch of them. Eventually there was some kind of family revolt and heads rolled, I couldn’t make this stuff up, it was a family feud for the ages. Essentially we have his Son (Jupiter) and his father (Uranus) either side of him. This might explain why Saturn rotates at such a high speed, hes busy keeping an eye out for each of those two.

Without further delay, here it is folks.

Saturn: Ballad

Your past has caused you mischief,

your paranoia looms.

Your patricide has turned the tide

and stalks your many moons.

You stretch your crystal rings

to deter your cunning seed.

You dizzy yourself in vain,

You are the last of a stunning breed,

You are tracing that orbit slowly,

you continue to master time.

Devouring all that fades

Chronos your power binds.

You are living between your kin

Your father and sun for flanks.

Each plotting some hidden sin,

there is power inside your ranks.

Cronus, as old as time

You have been known by many a man.

Since forever before my father,

We can see you from where we stand.

Poems For Planets: Mercury

You are first to brace that brazen heat and hold your orbit true. You dare to mingle so closely with the seed of a Titan…

1

The Solar system, like everything else, is fuel for creative outlet. It can tell story upon story, with angles, stories and legacies tied to every part that has a hand in building the system. This lovely trail of planets starts off with Mercury. For Mercury, mi primera planeta, I dedicate a prose poem.

Mercury, Hermes!

This I write for you!!

All is clear now. For all the fire in you, I see why the merchants favor you. Your favor has granted them service so fortifying and fortunate it has doubled the coin that aids their keep. How we bundle and build a bounty of riches has so much to be owed to you.

The intricacies of trickery are the secrets song of which you are bard. The timbre of tall tells, the tone of truth has you in its sinews.

You are first to brace that brazen heat and hold your orbit true. You dare to mingle so closely with the seed of a Titan and tell so well of what is built from Olympus. You speak so as we may eat from the fruits of knowledge. Sealing in a sweet garden the nectar, that on winged foot, is trickled to the ear of those that need it most.

From the first note to the last you know to lead from the lighted world to the shadows depth. Along that narrow trail that tracks to the black you offer guidance. When all has lost its stay with the light, to Pluto and Hades you lead. The far reaches of plutos face and hades’ shade are no strange terrain to you.
